Hello Jack,

As you maybe don't know ... I'm a lazy boy Smiley

So for make it short (I'm really lazy .. lol):
I used a template already painted...... (found on Avsim)
My only job was to put the logo of the 352 and make some letters.
Proggy used:
For capture the logo on the webb page I used Hypersnap 6.0
For work the templates I used Paint Shop Pro 9.0
For convert the templates in the FS2004 DX3 BMP format I used DXTBmp (General 16/32 bit Texture Manipulator for FS2002, FS2000,CFS2 and CFS3)

The plane model is a Posky version 1  B747 SP (freeware on Avsim or onPosky site))
The sounds are additional and come from the payware "Queen of the sky" B747 from PMDG
Happy easter to you and familly.

PLEASE....SURF SAFE....
Military regards.

So I thought I'd load up my new "Roller" B747SP
and make a video like yours, only flying around Los Angeles........
Took me 30 minutes to fly a nice wide circle, line up 30 miles out over the ocean
and set my NAV1 to 111.10 for ILS on runway 7R.........
I was down to 160mph, full flaps, gear down, and she was flying the glideslope........
then she sorta nosed over a little and with a descent rate of about 800fpm, plopped down
just off the beach, about 500 feet short of the runway...... Roll Eyes
damn L.A. ILS.........
I did it again with the stock 747, and she followed the ILS way too high, but still landed with a little
runway to spare. Tried it again with the 737, and she almost landed herself perfect at the front of the
runway. In the SP, the fpm does not auto-set when you change alt. However, it did on my other machine.
(800fpm. The 737 auto-sets to 1800 or so.)
Of course, I probably did something wrong........ Huh and of course, gonna keep doing it until I get it right! Grin
(With no passengers, of course. Cheesy)

Hello Roller,

Succes story in Mauritius ....

No problems here Smiley

Of course I don't use a crappy US ILS beam .. but a very nice ILS from a country in devellopment and sponsored by China-Russia-India-US and EU of course Smiley

So we just received from the SSR control tower the clearence for take off.....

Fasten seat belts hands of throttles .. flaps set , trims ...  full take off power ... there we go Smiley

Take your time to read the differents MDU's Smiley

Video = 27 MB (all in the flight deck)

Hi Gus,
I'm having problems with my fraps! No matter what setting I make,
the video comes out with streaked color lines. Wont take screenshots either.
I know how to use it and set it...........any ideas?
Thanks,
Roller

edit: I've been trying to play the videos in windows media player. I tried to take a
screenshot of the video, and a red icon popped up on my task-bar. I opened it, and it
was for fddshow, with all sorts of codec settings.....I clicked something wrong, and now
the media player will not play anything...........so I did a system restore, and now I'm back
tosquare one, with fraps videos showing color streaking and such, and no screen-shots.

Hello Roller,

That's horrible ... I feel the pain for you Smiley !!
Oki .. I don't use FDDshow or wathever.
Try to get rid of those codecs ... they must be the culprit !
When FRAPS make a video he must use his proprietary codec!

Stay tuned a other video on his way Smiley

Hi Gus,
again, you are correct! Grin Had a codec pak loaded on this computer called K-Lite.
Uninstalled and deleted, and all ran well. Still have to get my fraps settings good,
but here is my attempt at taking-off and landing at Mauritius:
http://rapidshare.com/files/101604440/RollersAttempt.wmv.html

No problems with the nose-gear collapsing on this 747SP, but it does still go below the surface
if there is any pressure on it. Shocked  Can't wait for someone to make a VC for this! Cool
Roller

ps: I'm downloading your other video now.... Grin

Hello Roller,

Great ... one problem less !!
It's never problems ... it's only solutions Smiley (one of my motto's)
Downloading your vid now Smiley
For the main gear wheels .. it's a wel know bug in FS2004 (dunno if they get it rid if FSX) .. they sink in the ground a little ... at landing or take off !! when they are animated wheels (boogies ...)

Hello Roller,

Great video ... and a almost perfect flight !
I think you will be able to get a better fluidity with fraps ... it's not possible to be stutters free ... but you have to much of them ......
I see also you have the default FS2004 water (I suppose ??) with those Aurora Borealis effects on the sea and also the too big colour contrast between the lagoon water and the high sea .....
Or do you use ZINETERK water already Huh I doubt...
BTW I also reduce my visibility at minimum (36 KM) and this apply from 0 meters to 12.000 meters (see advanced meteo!)
It's more realistic view and it's good for frame rate !!

BTW I just tested a new livery for the IFGD (freeware) A-319 .. and I like the animals serie of the Frontier Airline Smiley

Some pics ......

Hi Gus,
nice, nice pics! Grin

LOL!(Aurora Borealis effects on the sea ) LOL! Cheesy
Havn't loaded the Zinertek water yet......I will shortly. The water I have now turned that
blue and "effecty" when I added the Zinertek World environment. Wink
Also will be testing my fraps settings today.....
Thanks,
Roller

EDIT: When I added the 747SP, your read-me said to place the sounds in the fs9 sound folder, but I could not hear
the plane in-game. I put the sounds in the plane folder, and now I can hear it. I think this might be because of the naming
of the checklist and reference in the aircraft.cfg, but am not sure. This plane has 2 extra ref and check.htm files.
(Boeing747-400_check and ref.htm, and Boeing747SP_check and ref.htm) and there are two 747SP check and ref folders
which contain an XML file and a gif file. So I'm not sure why it does not look in the default sounds folder. However it DOES
look in the default folder for the call-outs.

Hello Roller,

Ouch .. I think you confused here.....

In the Aircraft it's a sound folder (and a panel folder ..etc..)... and they are the sounds for the engines .. etc and must stay in.

But outside the aircraft folder it's also a other sound folder in the RAR
The sounds are the callouts  .... 400 feets .. 300 feets etc...
They must go in the sound folder of FS9

Hope you .. and me .. are now less confused ROFL....

PLEASE....SURF SAFE....
Military regards.

Sigh....................................... Roll Eyes

you never believe me when I tell you these things........................... Roll Eyes

No sound folder 'outside' the aircraft folder.....only two inside:

As per your instructions:

Quote
Copy-past all the files from 747-effects in FS9 effect folder
Copy-past the file from the gauge folder in FS9 gauge folder

{COPY-PAST ALL THE FILES FROM THE SOUNDS FOLDER IN FS9 SOUND FOLDER}

{AFTER DELETE THE 747-EFFECTS AND THE GAUGE AND THE SOUNDS FOLDER.}

Copy-past the POSKY B747SP-ROLLER folder in the FS9 aircraft folder
Your plane appear as ROLLER in the choice planes panel of FS9

NOTA:

The extra sounds are the callouts from Meatwater Smiley
The will give you the callouts from 400 feets when you land (from 400 to 10 feets!)

So, as you can see, I'M the one who manages to get some sleep! Grin
