Hey Guys’

I will not be able to participate in flying for an indefinite time. My wife is in the hospital with an extremely serious infection on top of a critical heart condition. That situation has major control over my time.

Here is the situation as far as restoring EAW on my computer that was giving satisfactory frame rates; I have successfully installed a copy of Win 7 pro. This has wiped out all of the user files on that system and everything has to be reinstalled. I will use this install and try to move along with it. My current plan is to get Internet and local net access restored so that I can download and also transfer files from my main computer. This will all take time which I do not have available. The first EAW goal is to get a working install of Teamspeak. I will try to keep you informed when I make any progress.

OK -

I need some work done on the old heart of mine.  I'm guessing a stent is coming soon.

I plan on being around on Monday if anyone is looking to suit up.  I'll need a little help getting my GR set up again but my TS is solid on dBeav's channel.

Let me know what your plans are fella's after this weekend.

Tonight is not going to transpire for flying.

I've had a leaky valve in my heart for a good long time and never had any symptoms of light headed-ness or dizziness.  This past weekend I've felt a little "off" so I am going to see my cardiologist this afternoon.

I'll keep ya posted guys.

I can hook you up with Pro versions of either 7 or 10. Just let me know if you're interested in either.  :)

Hey Guys,

I will try to keep you updated on my efforts to get back the ability to fly EAW on-line with the group. I will use this tread and just edit this posting as I move step by step. I have removed the Hard Drive from my Optiplex system and cloned the ‘C’ drive and placed the new clone into the Optiplex system. I am going to hook it up now and test it out. I will update this posting with the results.

STEP 2
I got the system to boot up OK and everything seems to be working fine. I am having a little trouble with what seems to be a tendency to be swapping EAW. Ini files. I am not going to mess with that right now. My major concern is to see if I can install the Windows 7 OS from the cd that I have. I going to put that in the drive and reboot and see what I end up getting. My goal right now is to get a working TS installed. I hope that Beave has his on-line.
Step 2b   I am glad that I used the clone install route. The copy that I have of Win 7 is supposed to be with new systems. When I tried to upgrade from XP to Win 7 it said that it is not possible to do so. I am trying the other choice and it indicates that my previous files may not be included in the new install. I still have the original drive with its installed operating system intact and it can be placed back into the system. It is always nice to know that you have an undo route available.

Step 3
I ended up with a windows 7 OS installed and none of my files saved, I am not sure if I want to save this install or try to redo it with more hard drive capacity. I was not able to go the upgrade route. As of now, I will take a break and think it over some more.

Like Spitty said, hope your wife is well.

If you need any newer operating systems Jack (7 or 10 for example) just let me know.

I am glad to see that Spitty is up and operating. I am hoping that I will reach the same condition.
I just brought my wife back from the hospital. I have been running back and forth for the last week. She has heart rhythm abnormalities. She is now stabilized but she still has to get a defibrillator installed.
To get my system into condition to play EAW on line, I have to clone my XP drive and put the drive into the computer. Next, install a copy of Windows 7. If that works out OK, I will be able to download a new copy of TeamSpeak and install that. If that works out the way that I hope, I should be able to fly on-line successfully.
I will keep you informed as to my progress
