Title: IL-2 video

Go to about the 16:00 minute mark and watch until the end. This dude makes some excellent videos. (Really should be viewed full-screen.)
I've got to talk to Jel about seeing if there is any way to get recording to work in EAW.
If I'm not mistaken, alot of the code is supposed to include alot that was in PAW, and
PAW had mission recording. (Maybe in the vcr code?)

I just checked the code and cannot find anything that relates to video recording, even in the "remmed-out" sections :(

Hi Jel,
probably way off base here, but was looking at vcr_ctrl.c in the code.
It mentions playing back a tape (recording?) and view editing commands.

These all have stuff that someone (like me!) who doesn't know code
might think has stuff in it.
vcr.c
vcr.h
vcr_ctrl.c
vcrnouse.c
vcrsetup.c

I do not have any of those files in my program folders :(

I found them at the Gen in a 1.28B code folder.
They are all listed as superfluous in a post by Moggy about files actually used in compiling the exe.
I just had a quick look at a couple of the C files, but they are mainly gobbledegook to me.
I will re-visit and see if I can find the start recording and stop recording code. I have no idea what the video or sound format would be- it is definitely PAW code, so virtually DOS.

The ones I'm looking at are in a folder called EAW1.3codeV13CH.
The last modified date on them is 2012, although alot are 1998.
The vcr files are all 1998 except the vcr_cntrl.c which was 2010.

I always found these files interesting. I cant tell how the code works,
but I can sorta figure out what part of the game the file is for.

Whats interesting about this is the comms. I like the way these
guys communicate while flying Keeps good situational awareness.
